Course Description: Cabinetmaking 101
Learn how to build high-quality case goods—specifically cabinets—designed to last for decades. This hands-on course introduces the essential principles and techniques of cabinetmaking, guiding participants through the complete process of constructing a base cabinet.
Students will learn how to build a cabinet featuring a solid wood face frame and a traditional five-piece door. Along the way, multiple construction methods will be demonstrated for each step, giving participants a well-rounded understanding of different approaches and best practices in the craft.
By the end of the course, each participant will complete their own 24-inch or 30-inch wide base cabinet. The course fee includes hardware for one drawer and two doors, ensuring your finished piece is both functional and durable.
This course is ideal for beginners and anyone interested in developing foundational woodworking skills while creating a lasting, practical piece.
