Exploring Woodworking is a brand new course at the New Jersey School of Woodwork. The course is designed to expose students to basic shop skills and develop a curiosity of woodworking subject matter in general. Students will learn how to safely and properly utilize hand tools as well as basic power equipment including the bandsaw, miter saw, and drill press. Throughout the experience general wood properties and finishing techniques will be discussed and applied in all project work. Students will have the opportunity to complete three projects during the course.
